Walk This Way:
Volunteer to lead the 2019 NAMI Cobb Stigma Busters to another successful fund raising event
We are taking it to the Streets of Atlanta again…
What’s Next? For a second year, Clark Atlanta University will serve as the host location Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Clark Atlanta Campus Stadium. The walk route will circle the state Capitol. So please, dust off those walking shoes and join the leadership ranks and the movement.
NAMI Cobb is looking for an inspired leader/Team Captain or two Co-Captains to champion the “NAMI Cobb Stigma Busters” to another successful NAMIWalks fundraising event. Team Captains/Co-Captains are the heart and soul of NAMIWalks! While this event relies upon the participation and generosity of each individual, team captains are an integral part of our NAMIWalks success and our mission. In addition to fundraising, team captains help recruit and cultivate participants in NAMIWalks, allowing the event to raise dollars that go directly toward providing no-cost resources, support and programs to people in need in your community.
The Team Captain Manual offers information, ideas and inspiration to help ensure your success, including an ACTion outline to make this as easy as possible for the Team Captain or Co-Captains to build a successful team. The NAMI Georgia Walk Manager is your point of contact and is available for consultation throughout the planning process, preparation and walk day. The NAMI Cobb Stigma Busters raised $28, 730.00 in 2017 and $31,142.00 in 2018. They also distinguished themselves as forming the largest walk team in Georgia for the past two years (over 70 walkers who joined the movement). Volunteer for a fun and rewarding experience.
