Join us at our next NAMI Cobb educational meeting on Thursday, June 19 for an inspiring “In Our Own Voice” presentation by two NAMI members as they relate their struggles and triumphs, one dealing with schizophrenia, the other with major depression.
Our presenters will be:
• Ashley Smith, author of What’s on My Mind? – a collection of blog entries from her blog overcomingschizophrenia.blogspot.com. Ashley is a Certified Peer Specialist, volunteers as a NAMI Georgia board member and is an advocate, mentor, and mother.
• Robert Gray is currently working for CarMax and is a member of the NAMI Cobb Leadership Team. He became involved with NAMI in 2012 and has been on the leadership team since then.
We will meet in the Parish Hall at St. James Episcopal Church, 161 Church Street in Marietta. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. for registration, refreshments and fellowship. The meeting and program begin at 7:30 p.m. and conclude by 9:00 p.m.
